Recommend me raw denim under $100. Unbranded is good, but their skinny fit isn't skinny enough for my pipe-cleaner legs.

check the archive and search for the previous denim generals.
or just go to rawrdenim.com

you might as well drop $180 on APC than $120 on shitty N&F.

>> No.7234769

uniqlo - dirt cheap for made in Japan denim.
Only problem is that the skinny's need to be tapered a bit more.

how should I wear Unbranded when a 36" inseam is way too long? I don't like cuffed jeans. Just get them tailored?

take my advice and dont get unbranded. quality isn't good. i'd rather buy 2 pairs of levis over unbranded for the same price

The sale on Karmaloop doesn't apply to NF jeans, I already checked.

i own N&F weird guys. they were $140 and i like them. someone above mentioned that APC is better quality at $180, but i can't comment on that since i don't own anything in that brand.
i might try another brand for my next pair come summer, since my weird guys are thicker than normal (13oz) and wouldn't want to wear them in hot weather

Actually mine were the 170 deep indigo ones. My first pair, I should have sized down one more but I don't give a fuck I love them.
I haven't even taken the best of care of them (washed them I think three times since July due to stains and such) and I still get compliments. Really, I'm quite happy with them.

I highly recommend them.

I would say so. They are 15 oz as opposed to the 12 oz 140 ones. Fading is a bitch, but they are holding up EXTREMELY well. I only wish I would have sized correctly. Ah well, I can always hem them later.

how much did you size down? how much are you supposed to size down?

>> No.7234960

>>7234948
I don't think I sized down. I don't know my waist size very well. I THINK I am in between 32 and 33 inches, so I got a size 31. They are fine in the waist, but my legs are skinny so the stacks always fall down. So I think my size is 31, and karmaloop ran out of size 30s in black power stretch the other day so I couldn't get any. (Fuck, W2C for under 100 anyone?)

I'd say size down one, and if you feel like you have enough room, send them back and size down another, otherwise it just bunches up at the bottom of your leg.

Karmaloop had the whole 30 percent off deal. It was why I was pretty bummed that when I sent in my return they didn't hold the next size up. So I still only have one pair of not shit jeans, which kinda sucks.

You get the hang of it eventually. The beauty of raws is they are durable enough (unless you buy something shit) to last. My friends gave me shit about how their jeans also last a long time, but they have like 5 pairs of the same jeans so no wonder.

>>7234978
Are they like slimmer skinny guys, or full on skinny jeans? I'm honestly curious, as a few people on this board said it was too much, and I'm not really going the streetwear route. (At least not until I move to a more effay place at least)

>> No.7235076

How is unbranded skinny jeans even called skinny jeans. Straight jeans at best.

Is it worth getting them tapered?

uniqlo denim is supplied by kaihara
if you guys knew what the fuck you were talking about you'd see that in the fucking subtitle

kaihara is a massive selvedge supplier to japan made denim producers, so shit like roy and even edwin uses em in some instances.

when all these guys IY their own denim they either get china (cheap) or kaihara (medium)

or if they're lucky they get cone

with that said $129, jeans at uniqlo is a little high
you can get better brands

but from my own experiences (shopping at uniqlo from 2003 in japan) and all the raw denim i own today it's better than some of the other brands you kids throw around

with that said

naked &famous sold on gilt is NOT selvedge.
i ordered a pair that clearly said "self edge" right in the description, check for eft NADA
also the tags are ifferent than what you'd expect to find in a brick 'n ' mortar.

but if you had the option of N&F vs uniqlo self edge raws on some place like blue green becuase you won their little fading contest thingamajig in 2008 when they ran them then i'd grab uniqlo

cleaner, thinner leather patch, more supple and the denim is a little stiffer on first wear (starched) making it easier to fade

>> No.7235709

You can go ebay and buy some levi vintage or rrl for cheap. Like under 200. Better than Raws.
