/fa/, i have come to you in need of advice:

I have medium length, pretty curly hair. whenever im out of the shower, my hair dries, and its all puffy and curly, and becomes sort of a fro. However, say i wear a hat for a few hours, and my hair magically becomes smooth and straight and maliable, and is easily fashioned into whatever style i like.

is there some product or shampoo that can straighten hair and make it less fluffy and what not? I have american fiber crew, but that doesnt help with the curls. Thanks in advice, /fa/gs

Curlybro here. Just follow the pasta, get every product you use in the "especially made for curly hair" variation, rinse with cold water and let it airdry, though you can pat some of the water down with a towel so it's not dripping, but do the actual drying by air. Don't brush in the shower but if you must untangle, do so with a wide tooth comb and after it.

My thing is nopoo with a Sedal conditioner and TRESemmé mousse for styling but I'd reccomend experimenting with all the oils and pomades you can till you find something nice.

I have the same problem. Don't have the water too hot when you shower and don't wash your hair too often.

When curly's well taken care of it's the best. When it's not it's the worst. Also the hardest to look out for. Gonna post some cuts now.

If you're at all interested in keeping your hair curly but making it nice, try naturallycurly.com. They have a slew of advice and product reviews. It's aimed at women but hair is hair so I'm sure it doesn't change anything.

If you want your hair straight, about all you can really do besides getting it chemically relaxed is to use a hot flat iron/straightener.

Fun fact: about 6895% of women like nice curly hair. The remaining 105% voted for Obama.

>implying voting for Obama was a bad thing

Dude is a technocratic nightmare, but at least he's a semi-competent technocratic nightmare. McCain/Romney would've been disasters.

This is coming from someone who's about as far left as it gets. Any arguments against a minimal participation in electoralism are personal purity bullshit.
