and now the fabric tags have the name, with small version of the numbered logo on the back of the fabric tag

as well as another .5" X1" label beind the hem on shirting, and on the waistband of pants

it's fucking disgraceful

a brand known for reproducing high quality found pieces, and deconstructed elements in a tastefully done manner that can be worn daily

the only think i've noticed being lower quality are MM6 womens diffusion, leather jackets no longer being made in italy with the old style lining
and the materials being thinner than they were

im not sure if it was a stylistic choice to make the jackets less structured (early jackets have CCP, KKA style structed sleeves that end right at your knuckle and used higher end MRS zips)

today the sleeves end right before your wrist (not longer than jacket body) and are drastically thinner, and iirc made in poland with smaller zippers.

as far as sneakers they've always been meh quality since they were mostly just REPLICA pieces.

the prices also came down.

so overall for basics, yeah, but not the the point you would see it unless you've been copping MMM forever.

This is a depressing thread. Current MMM is still one of my favorite houses, but being reminded what it was like around the millennium just hurts. Like, there's a sense that life meant something, even in the ad shots.
