Put some socks on, John. And why are you wear all blue? Christ, you're at work, not on a date.

>>7200324
Stop posing in the corners, Brad, and glue these adjoining pieces together. We've gotta get this shit done by 3 so we can paint. I hope you don't mind getting paint all over those boots, by the way. Moron.

Where are all these "work" pieces coming from that require durable, jean materials for harsh activity and then throw on the most polished shoes and fully buttoned collars? That's not work wear compatible with that material.

Are all these models posing for architecture design or something? Like, wearing fashionable painter's clothes will make them look more credible to clients or something before they draw out the blueprints and work on design?

He's not /fa/ but at least it makes sense for him to wear what he's got.

You can BE /fa/ and still work hard-labor jobs. You can BE /fa/ AT WORK doing that hard labor. Just don't do it in fucking penny loafers and fully buttoned oxfords.

I don't know why you want to be /fa/ while filling potholes since I guarantee Rick, Jones and Earnest don't give a shit if today's öutfit" cost your paycheque and girls who like blue collars want to see them a little more rugged than your slick new fits.

Not even the OP but the idea of workwear is not to go out and work in it. It's fashion inspired by working clothes i.e. denim, chore coats, flannels, boots etc

But it doesn't work on effeminate male models at all. It's cognitive dissonance. There are definitely great workwear looks you can have without ACTUALLY buying nothing but Carhartt, but don't slap a pair of sandals or a trilby on it and expect it to look good anywhere.

See, workwear for /fa/ means "Take working clothing for hard labor. Now, that item is turned into something fashionale by
lowering the rise
an outrageous color
exchanging zippers for pull tie buttons
keeping the fit, but changing the material from jean to fleece
slimming the fit
lengthening the fit

or something like that. Making already present clothing fashionable. You can't make fashionable workwear, that's stupid.

>>7200792
I'm sorry, maybe I just hate the whole "no socks+rolled up jean floodpants" look or something, but at least that's DEFINITELY not workwear (or harlabourwear for you) and looks really really dumb.

Which guy? The Highwaters McNosquats in OP? Beardy hiding behind anorxia long-hair in the first reply? The 17-year-old with mop head in the puffy down following? They're all not manly enough to make /fa/ trends of manly wear.

you seem to be a bit upset there, fella

workwear doesn't have to be functional for wearing whilst pouring concrete, it's a 'fashionised' look based off of generally old working clothes

>> No.7200934

>>7200899
I know. I even said as much (though not in those posts). I'm simply pointing out that if you're going for a "look" then you shouldn't toss in something antithetical. You shouldn't find the most fashionale "workwear"outfit possible and then rock some UGGs. Or capris. Or Penny Loafers.

You can't rock out gothninja looks and then throw a blue blazer over it thinking you're making it more /fa/. Stay within boundaries. Colors don't always match, looks don't always blend.

>idea of workwear is not to go out and work in it
but it is to look like you could
loafers are the opposite of work
it's in the fucking name and is inherently clashing with the idea of workwear
a good fit isn't determined by single individual pieces but the fit as whole
just because he has a nice denim jacket or some shit doesn't make the rest of it look good
and if you just want to look at it from a general point of view and not in relation to work
his cuff + no sock into the low height of loafer creates a 3 instantaneous contrasts at once. He has no cheek hair at all despite a thick underbrush, which isn't at all a popular modern style and personally I've never found it to be a good style in general. And of course he pairs that facial hair style with a modern haircut, just for good measure. The jeans look extremely knew and underused while the jacket looks worn and a bit old. Another contrast, for no other reason than to clash it seems. And then finally you have the loafers which break the large silhouette primarily caused by the straight cut pants (and beard) and slim his feet down significantly to create an overall disproportionate body
It's a really shitty fit.
