Looks pretty generic. Nothing bad, but nothing special. Seems about right for a guy that age. That (p)leather fits well at the shoulder, at the very least. Too dark to really say that much about it.

If you're a teenager and you can't afford more and you don't have the taste or lifestyle to wear anything else, there's nothing "wrong" with a pleather jacket. I mean, you're just a kid in school, so get what you want and grow out of it in time. Having somebody else dress you won't help you learn.

That said, I don't think there's anything wrong with a simple wool mechanic's jacket or a parka or peacoat or whatever for a teenager. Just get something simple, that you won't mind beating up, and that doesn't explode your budget. You're probably going to grow out of it soon anyway and there's no point in investing a ton of time on an expensive, highly stylized jacket that might not even suit your taste or lifestyle in a year or two.
