Hi /fa/ , I'm a skinny 5"7 manlet. Does wearing a parka/coat (anything below the waist) give the illusion of being shorter for someone my height? Is there anything I should avoid?

>> No.7166095

>>7166091
Yes, and you should avoid Parkas

>> No.7166140

Only if it's big and baggy and non-form fitting.

A manlet can pull off oversized sweaters/jackets and look qt as fuck doing it, but only if done right. You also need to be skinny and have petite porportions for it to work. If you're skinny with short and stocky limbs then you're fucked regardless. I'm 5'6 with a 26 inch waist and a 30 inch inseam so that shit works for me I feel.

ANYTHING you wear is going to make you look short, because you are short.

Good thing im extremely skinny and slender. Does coat in the pic work? I wanted something that extends below the waist work if its a tight enough fit?

You'd really have to post a pic wearing it. You'd want a somewhat slender silhouette, more drape rather than bulk.

In my opinion he is overdressed. I'm sure wonderful things can be done with the outerwear, otherwise

i think the fit would be fine if he lose the blue button up and untucked the sweater, or lost the sweater and wore the blue button up with an undershirt

he looks prepcore as fuck regardless

Maybe if he was wearing slims instead of tights and wasn't blowing smoke like a douche. I just have an urge to break legs that thin in tights. Just fucking go Misery on them.

I think OP was referring to just the coat. Anyhow, the messenger bag puts him over the top try hard. The coat is fine if you can find the right fit

Riverisland is mall/H&M tier. I copped 2 pairs of jeans and a parka from there.

"skinny" jeans I got from there are just your typical "really tight straight leg jeans no tapering at the ankle" tier bullshit, one pair was twice as tight as the other despite being the same measurements, they get wrinkled to FUCK in the washing machine, stain everything else so you either have to hand wash them, and despite being a 26/30 the waist fits like a 27 or 28.

Parka was alright, nothing to write home about. I purchased a small and its a bit too big for my liking, would recommend sizing down to an XS if you're slim.

Overall I don't think I'm going to be buying from there again.

I've a pair of River Island skinny Chinos from Asos, I wear them everyday for work and I really like the fit. (Can post if you want)
Inexpensive too.

The hardest fucking thing to find to wear is winter jackets that fit me (5'5''-6'')
I've been thinking of just getting a women's jacket from Uniqlo or something.
Fuck

ive pretty much given up on winter jackets

i just wear over sized sweaters with tight fitting unnoticeable athletic sweaters with a insulating vest under that

Yeah, I've found the same problem. Winter coats and jackets are hard to find the right fit for shorter among us Top man is a good place to start with around the same price range

o god this... waist is 28, inseem 32, my shoulders are 49inch, and im 5'9. i can never find proper fitting clothing, either it fits on shoulders and is a dress on me, or is tight on shoulders and fits length. i also have problems finding pants, 28x32 is not too easy to find that isnt too tight on quads or too loose. weird guy fits pretty good though

any shirt or sweater brand suggestions?

btw when i wear a v neck it looks like a crewneck... 42inch chest

what are you talking about... you have tiny shoulders for a 6'1, im 5'9 and have 49 inch shoulders and i look fairly normal from the front, but huge from the back, you should be at like 55+

you can have narrow shoulders and just huge delts, i have very broad shoulders, as in bone structure, and my delts arent exceptionally large, as i said, 49inch at 5'9, which is 10 inches more than a guy at 6'1, something seems weird here

I'm 5''7 as well. Right now I'm skinnyfat. I've been thinking about how to change my body for the better and remembered a term a friend used for tall, buff techno gays in camo pants: meatfags (that's the literal translation). Now I was thinking about how a painfully average guy like me would look if I bulked up. I don't want to end up like pic related, but I'd like some actual muscles.

Can a guy like me have a well built muscular body that's not super slim, and thus enter what I can only refer to as "bulletmode"?
