not the guy you're replying to, but they're very different. there's been a raft of designers interested all at once in adidas/jogging soles, raf was actually late to the party. just because they all use the same sole/base of adidas joggers doesn't mean they are ripping one another off. it was inevitable. after ann, raf, common projects, etc., all use the same cup sole, there was going to be a turn toward other sneakers. this was the next logical choice, as it was under-developed territory (mmm had the german army trainers, rick and lanvin already put forward interpretations of the chuck taylor/cap toe, and tennis sneakers are ever-present)

those lanvins are leather while the rafs are mesh/poly/synthetic fiber of some kind. the lanvins rarely use the bright industrial technicolors that raf uses. raf's shoes are blocked into sections, the lanvins 'flow' as an entire shoe. they accomplish completely different things.

Well I have explained in many times, but mainly because Kanye's production style is more akin to actual compositions than a "hot ass beat" like most hip hop producers. His eccentric tastes and understanding of art elevate his music a lot too.
i'm not good at explaining but really. listen to Late Registration made back in '05. Wheras most people were content with sample loops with ill fitting drums, kanye took soul samples and created songs with actual progression and drums that sat right in the mix and felt so much more organic.

Skip to Graduation. This album was like a love letter to Euro technology and house music but melted together with the sounds of Arena bands (bands which essentially make songs for concerts) a lot of producers after this actually gave a shit about how their music would sound live and so more interest in audio engineering instead of just the beat itself.

808's and heartbreak was Kanye going minimalistic, as well as more insightful. Production here is really impressive and gets a lot of the Roland drum machines to create this really 80's old school sound kinda tinged with this dark edge

MBDTF is kanye mastering the maximism he we first got a taste of in LR. really not much to be said about it other than it being GOAT
