Lately I've been wanting to cop a pair of Doc Martens but there are so many models of boots and I have no clue where to start. Any guides as to which boots to avoid or look for. Which model would go best with a pair of skinny jeans?

The thing I'm starting to love about Docs is that they function similar to Chuck Taylor's. Very basic unassuming foot where that looks good and doesn't distract from the rest of the outfit.

Those would look fresh as fuck on a work-wear outfit. Not my style

Better than with yellow stitching, but if you buy with stitching you still have the option to black out the stitching.

Other than that I agree.

Doc martens are for black girls now.

Thought they were timeless. Nope. They're finally dead.

Stitching colour also fades considerably over time.

True, I like it better with faded stitching than monochrome. I'm really starting to like my 1461s more and more each day. Though monochromes look cool too.

Agree
But I disagree regarding the Chucks. As someone who doesn't like Chucks, they can ruin a fit for me and the age restriction is bigger than with Martens. I can't imagine an >30 year old wearing Chucks without looking ridiculous but this doesn't apply to Martens
