ITT: The least ugliest things you regularly see people wear

I'll start it out with birkenstocks.
Desperately ugly shoes, birkenstock wearers prattle on about MUH COMFORT, not realizing that there are a great many comfortable shoes that don't look like they were designed specifically to be as ugly as possible.

A) Feet are exposed. This is disgusting in itself.

B) As you wear them in, you get sweat stains on the sole which is fucking horrendously disgusting.

C) The leather is shit tier, and cut with gross ragged edges.

I lived in Germany for 2 years. My aunt visited and bought me a pair of Brownish/Greyish Nubuck, two strap (standard) Birkenstocks. That was, geez, 14 years ago.

I still wear them. I've worn them so much the heel on the outside as been rubbed down to the footbed. They are the most comfortable sandals hands down. The only other pair of footwear I've ever own are some Nike running shoes. My Birkenstocks are magnificent. And in about a year or two more, I need to replace them and I'll be buying the exact same pair. I recommend them to ANYONE.

I'm size 13 E width, btw, so I'm not worried about these "swallowing" my feet or looking too big overall. They're fantastic. Don't hate on Birkenstocks until you've worn them.
