My personal opinion on tattoos is that people shouldn't get tattoos to be effay, like people get a nice watch or a nice bag.

A tattoo should have some personal importance, I think, since it'll be there permanently, and most importantly - a good artist to help bring it to life and look good.

Not like "GO GIANTS", or some video game character/reference. I think those are tacky and tasteless as fuck.

Question for those with tattoos. Is there anything I need to know of before going into a parlor? Is it okay to just print out a picture off google and bring it in? Will I have time to discuss my vision with the artists there or is that not something that is done? What if I just have an idea floating around in my head, can I tell an artist at the shop and have them get back to me with a rendition of it on paper?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. You can definitely print off a picture and bring it in. I recommend this actually if you know what you want, and you find something that's pretty much it - they'll trace it out and then put it on you, and it will be what you want, but will ultimately be of it's own

If you want to play around with ideas, don't expect it to come together in any timely manner.

I also recommend letting an idea for a tattoo sit in the back of your head for an entire year before getting it.

Take a vicodin before and after, and pain shouldn't be an issue at all. Ultimately it feels like someone digging a ball point pen into you
