How do I wear vests, /fa/?

I don't want to wear it with a jacket because it feels too dressy.

With a flannel. Be careful not to look lumberjack mode

Interesting, I'll give that a try. I think I'll be able to avoid lumberjack seeing as I'll probably be wearing black jeans.

Nvm. Thought you were talking about puffer vests. If youre talking about for a wedding or fancy event, dont sweat it too much. Otherwise its too dressy for casual wear

Maybe in 30 years, but its fedora tier to wear one with anything but a shirt and tie.

can't a shirt and tie be casual? Roll up the sleeves

i work in miami design district area.

I have noticed lately lots of men rocking those vests with v neck tees and jeans.

I also see crackheads and famous people.

So you're saying it's a very hit-or-miss choice?

>> No.7102029

>>7102007
it's an entirely miss choice

you shouldnt wear a vest or a tie without a blazer/suit

>> No.7102048

If you're a musician its possible as long as you're musical style matches
Honestly I might go into music just for the right to dress however I want

A tie, never. Ever.

Nah man, ditch the tie and wear it with jeans and maybe cons. Dampen the perceived formality of the vest.

>>7101809
if you're talking about a vest thats meant to go w/ a suit, u can wear a cardigan instead

>> No.7104127

Not at all. A vest and a t-shirt is disgusting, but a vest and shirt+tie looks just fine. Its still pretty formal and doesn't go with jeans, but it still looks fine even if you roll your sleeves up
