i saw the horween leather desert boots the other day
wish it was a slightly smaller grain, but the leather was still very nice

It's a bit tough getting CDBs in my country, if you can find them they run for at least ~$170.

I managed, however, to find an auction for this pair, worn once. At the moment it's at $35 with just one person bidding. Worth copping in this colour if I can get it for under $80, or should I just buy a new pair in beeswax?

I know someone who wears such shoes. They look horrible because they loose shape, and as a consequence you can't wear them with anything that fits well, only flowing garments. Would only wear as a grill, as a guy these don't work imo.
