Not loving how that knit collar/hood is laying on top of the jacket. Also, it looks top heavy, but I assume it's the angle. h-loom said to soak it through and hang it up for a day along the bias
i dont really have the vertical space for that so i figured id have to cut it into strips first that won't touch the ground when hung from my shower curtain

no one teaches that until later. the teachers dont really do much instruction. its kind of implied that you figure out lots of things on your own

but it really depends on the fabric. mostly you dont really have time to soak it like he says and ensure that its 100% perfect bias, if you can do that its kind of a luxury

you can prep fabric for bias pretty well by just drawing a pencil line on the grain and stretching the fabric from the corners, and laying a ruler against the line to make sure its perfectly straight so you can square from the line
