Does /fa/ know where I can get an AFFORDABLE silk T-Shirt? I'm not talking walmart cheap but definitely cheaper than Italian designer shit.

Kind of defeats the purpose of a silk tee, doesn't it? Why not wait for the real thing and go with cotton/cashmere blends until then? There's really no substitute for an incredible mainline silk tee.

No. Again, I'm not talking Walmart cheap. But if you truly believe when you buy a Givenchy or Gucci shirt you're not paying for the name, well I'm going to assert that you are mistaken.

he never said that the name brand doesn't factor into the price, and you are also completely ignoring the fact that name brands also have higher quality
don't settle for cheap substitutes m8 it's a bad habit

My shit is cotton and/or polyester as is.
Is a silk shirt that cost less than 400$ gonna some how be worse than a 100% cotton tee?

Didn't think so.

I want a nice feeling shirt.
But I don't believe for a second that a shirt that costs 2000% more than a basic cotton shirt is 2000% more comfy. (400$ is 2000% more expensive than 20$) I also don't believe that brands like Gucci that charge those prices actually offer superior quality fabric than another name brand charging a quarter as much. I believe you are paying for the name and the design. Did I make that simple enough for you?

>buys $20 cotton shirts
you're an idiot
your $20 cotton shirt costs about $3 to make and get to the store
the person who made the shirt probably got $0.20 if not much less for their work while the manufacturer can't be spending much more than $1 in industrial costs per shirt

the prices of the luxury shirt and the shit-tier shirt and are not close to each other, but they are PROPORTIONAL
the % of markup is still within a narrow range for both products
increments of 50 stack up much more quickly than increments of 3, so obviously a shirt that costs $50 to produce is going to be a lot more after markup than the shirt that costs $3, but the quality is indeed better (unless you're buying some shit like pyrex), and the markup itself is proportional

with that said, you can buy a lot of basic tops from past seasons in all kinds of materials for well under the retail price

if you want a cheap shirt that feels silky, then get some cupro
