What kind of product should i use with my hair? This is a pic of after i showered and blow dryed it with no product, which looks alright but when i go out it just falls all over my face. I use crew sometimes but it's not strong enough to keep my hair up (hair is really thick) and i don't like the way it looks in my hair. Heard pomade is good but don't know which one to get.

I really can't visualize myself with a haircut other than just a regular taper because my head looks xboxheug on my body, and I'm not even skinny.
I'm 50/50 black/white and somehow I came out with this Mexican hair that isn't like either of my parents. Should I stick with the black guy taper, or grow it some more and try something with short sides or something along that line?

pic related is the closest I could find to what mine looks like freshly cut, except I get it a little shorter

It's weird, I used to have curly hair as a kid, but now it's straight until it gets to a certain length and just gets wavy

It's genetic when it's that bad. Trust me, I went through the same thing, and now my skin is real nice. You just have to ride it out until your hormones stop churning at such a rate. Also, get lots of sleep. It helps keep up your immune system, while your hormones ruin it.

what do you think? It is so hard to style longer hair .. like sometimes it looks really good and sometimes it looks like crap, shorter haircuts are so much more consistent.

not sure if i wanna start using products and shit in my hair, maybe get some good mousse or something. any1 have something nice to rec?

How can I style my hair to look good but also relatively normal? I use some cheap ass store brand hair wax.

haircut is (was?) a fade on the side with a longer top, nothing exciting. one thing she did that i don't think i'm a fan of was making the top get shorter near the crown of my head

this was me just rolling out of bed so my hair looks like shit but if anyone has any suggestions i can blowdry/comb my hair that way and post results after my shower

every morning in the shower i scrub my hair vigorously (under whatever temperature i feel like showering under that day) with my fingers. then i comb forward it in the shower with a fine tooth comb to make sure there's no tangles. then when i get to my room i comb it into whatever shape (usually some swoopy shit like my picture) and blowdry it

it still works without the blowdryer but it's way easier to get it looking right with one

only reason it might look greasy there is because it is still a little wet. if you're getting grease and you're doing no-poo you need to either do it longer or scrub/comb your hair better

i'm the guy that posted the 6 month no-poo pics. you don't need a guide, it's easy. all you have to do is

scrub hair in the shower with your fingers/fingernails. if your scalp is tender it will get used to the scrubbing over time. i do it for about 30-60 seconds. pretty sure this exfoliates the scalp or some shit. it feels good as fuck though
then get a fine tooth comb (doesn't have to be super fine, i use the finer end of a $1 plastic comb) and comb through all the different parts of your hair several times. this helps even the distribution of the natural sebum and also keeps your hair knot-free
when you get out of the shower, blowdry and comb it. if you don't have a blowdryer give it a light towel dry and comb it into shape, or just play with it with your hands. it'll look better as it dries. if you towel dry it too hard it might get messy but if that's what you're going for then all the better

this is just the way i do it. some people say cold water helps but i haven't noticed a difference. i put a bottle of the baking soda/water mixture in my shower when i started doing this in case there were days my hair were smelly.. and i have never had to touch it

dont go to a barber, go to a proper hair place at least.

i just do it myself at home with an electric razor, shaving the sides and back 4-6mm once a month or something and cut the length off top if it gets too long, but you can ask the hairdresser to do the same.

which hairstyle suits me best? feel free to give me a whole new style. Im currently growing out the top and constantly shaving the sides and back i am able to tie it up now. I can slick it back like hitlers youth but it doesnt suit my large forehead and dome. I also have photos of when i had the same style but shorter on top will find it later for now just see hair to the side tied up and split fringe.
