The problem with the VTB curve shirt is that the design doesn't follow through the entire garment. in order to get this kind of a shirt right I really think you need to take the very concept of a t-shirt back to the drawing board, cant the seams off a bit and follow the curve up through the entire shirt. Not sure how else to put it, I'm not a seamster.
It all looks good and well laid flat but in practice you end up with a half-assed asymmetric tee and a little empty pouch hanging off your hip like a colostomy bag full of buyer's remorse. Also, the hems are a joke but I hear this is standard operating procedure for VTB. At least it's made in America.
I actually bought one of these before I realize I could just cop Julius/Rick basics for ***less money*** on various auction sites.

In my opinion, the 90's were the worst decade for clothing in the 20th century. Everybody looked like they were wearing clothes 2 or 3 sizes too big all the time. The 80's were way better. The 70's were the decline of dressing respectably everyday, when the usage of the suit for going to work declined, and more obnoxious clothing started to come out, compared to the 60's.

It's a crapshoot, because companies like that use multiple contractors and contractors tend to get bids by offering a lower rate.
Offering a lower rate invariably means a heavier workload for an already overloaded (but desperate) workforce or a lower wage. Or cheaper materials. Or some combination of the three. It's hard to say.
You can't really give an answer to that, because the fruit of many different manufacturers is sold under the Zara label.
But by and large it's shit and after that first wash when the rack-appeal fabric treatments have washed away you'll see why. Or just clock the wear-away on it. See how long it takes to start feeling kind of shitty. Or shittier.

zara and asos (the latter i'm referring to is the brand versus the whole retailer( are fast fashion so you are essentially getting what you pay for-cheap quality fabric and machinemade pieces. the reason why zara can get away with charging so much is because they do direct designer knockoffs.
for a budget they aren't bad so long as you know how to take care of your clothing. i'd recommend investing up, personally, but if you can't then there's no shame-just be conscious of the construction and know how to keep it in shape. i've had an h&m shirt that i've had for about two years at this point that's suffered and although it's not in great shape, it's withstood a lot of shit moreso because of the way i launder it versus the quality of the material itself (which is still pretty bad, it's terrible, actually).
it'll fall apart on you or your progeny eventually, such is the way of clothing. it's a matter of prolonging that life as much as possible.
as for a direct answer: they aren't exaggerating. their quality sucks.

again, if you have the opportunity i think you should shoot a bit higher, or look around on the auctions and deadstock retailers. you can get pieces at retailers like that online for the same price or less for what you're looking for than at a major fast-fashion place, depending on the article.
just avoid zara though. really. they're a soulless corporation and seriously overcharge for their quality. they really pull the wool over the consumer's eyes with pricing like that, for what you're getting. that's just my experience though.

what i meant was that you need to look around at deadstock retailers and online auction houses. i specifically reccomend ebay, yahoo!japan, and rakuten, although i haven't experienced the latter two. if you're on a tight budget check them-i've heard you can find some insane deals.
i would also recommend looking through yoox. even though their site is a bit dubious you can find some nice end-of-season clearouts from good brands for a decent price.
