How do I know if a blazer is casual enough to wear with jeans and a t-shirt?

If blazers aren't necessarily considered casual or formal enough, then how would one dress in terms of color of blazer and t-shirt and jeans to give it a casual look?

Also any recommendations on awesome 2 button notched lapel blazers?

What's /fa/'s opinion of suede? I usually wear distressed leather, but I'm feeling like getting something different.
