idk what you're comparing to, if it's apple earphones/skullcandies then yea there will be a noticeable difference at v0 with some cheap monoprice IEMs (~$11+shipping) for on-the-go and a pair of M50s, DT770s, V6, whatever hyped up headphone by the 4chains is up.

it's called vanity sizing. most popular brands do it (eg: levis). but yes, look at the measurement, and measure your favorite fittings pants (non stretchy) in the waist, knee, leg opening, etc. if you are on the border of 2 sizes, go with the smaller to account for some small stretching.
