Purchased some N&F raw stretch selvedge yesterday and contemplating a soak to remove a bit of excess indigo and to avoid staining absolutely everything. Another purpose being that when I do eventually wash them they will shrink and in doing so the fades will shift and may not focus on the same areas as before.

Any advice on this? What temp/how long to avoid too much indigo loss and optimal shrink?

I've never been on /fa/ before so I don't know shit. Please advice.
Usually I just wear all black t-shirt and jeans. It's not interesting or eyecatching but I like not having to think about different clothes or how to match outfits. Prior to this I was wearing stupid graphic tees and stuff, so I don't know anything about how to dress properly or coordinate an outfit.
Now that it's getting colder I don't know what sort of jacket/coat fits with what I'm wearing. Whenever I put something on I feel like my clothing beneath the coat looks like a one-piece set of black pajamas or something, since there isn't color variation between the shirt and pants. Should I start wearing completely different clothes entirely or is there something else that would work better?
