Hey /fa/,
21 year old pleb here. Work in a warehouse as a manager on the night shift, my wardrobe consists of wrangler jeans, button up short sleeve shirts, and steel toe boots. However, I just got my license renewed and my old high school buddies want to go to bars this weekend. We are located in the bay area. I don't want to look like a loser, can someone please recommend two or three nice, reasonably priced outfits I can put together and where to cop them? I was thinking a new pair of vans, two or three flannels, and some slim-fitting khaki pants?
pls respond
P.S. I've read the sticky but it seems too hardcore for me. The only clothing stores I've ever been in are Sears, Tillys, and Express (when my ex worked there, I never bought anything except for a $300 peacoat at 50% off due to gf discount)

I am asking you because everytime I go shopping I get home and my outfit looks like shit and into the old-clothes-I-never-where-box it goes. Also I have a date with a tattooed fashionable city girl on Sunday and I need to look sharp or I probably won't have sex with her.

Youre meeting some geeks from high school you dont need to dress like a model
Just get some 511s,some plaid button ups from like UO or something, and some nikes or whatever

You dont give a good golly gosh about fashion so theres literally no point in you spending BIG AMERICAN DOLLARS on anything else

unless thats what you what, but if not just chill out and go to urban outfiters or something

Okay I'll go to urban outfitters and cop a couple nice flannels then. How tight should my pants be though

I think the best thing you can do is to try new things and just look around.

As far as your specific situation of needing to dress for your bros, I'd say that sounds silly. Just go for something simple that you know fits and looks nice on you and don't overthink it.

>> No.6938801

No. People had asked for rules for a while and they weren't satisfied when I told them that blanket statements and generalizations would do nothing to help them develop their style, so that was the best I could do.
