Dressing like everyone else will not help your shortness.

Overcompensating may be what it is, but it still helps.

The path is this: stay on this board, read some shit about what the purpose of fashion is, look at high-end retailers and get a sense for different brands/designers, learn about what's going on in the world of fashion, watch people and look closely at what they wear 24/7, develop your own taste, and get boots with a heel on them.

Don't go manlet mode height-boosters, just give yourself an extra inch.

And the final step is don't buy anything for at least two months. Everybody new to this board buys awful shit right away and then cries over all the money they wasted. Seriously develop your taste first and then buy clothing one piece at a time.

Also, tumblr is a good resource for searching brand tags and finding photos

final tip: ignore manlet threads, they're a constant thing on this board, a lot of people are insecure/etc.
