Hi /fa/
I'm starting university in a couple of weeks and the first event that my halls complex is hosting is 'anything but clothes night'. this doesn't mean everyone just turns up naked, it means you're supposed to wear anything that isn't actual clothing. most people will just wear binbags or cardboard boxes. Is there any way i can dress to fit the theme and still be /fa/?

If you have fun by doing stuff like fishing and hiking, and that's what makes you happy, then that's completely cool. If you're craving interaction, look to see if there are any fishing or hiking clubs/organizations in the area, or even on campus.

While college is a time of exploration, it's also about finding what you like. And if you've given it a fair shot, that's all that can be expected.

Nothing "should be" fun, and no one can be told to love doing everything. Be happy with how you are, and only make changes that will make you happier.

there'll almost certainly be a club for at least one of those things, and it'll almost certainly have a few people who feel like you do about parties. plus it'll have a few people who DO like parties that you'll get a chance to meet in a different context. clubs and societies are great for meeting people if you're not into the whole partying scene (and plenty people aren't)
