I generally only wear the tightest jeans available to buy so I'm considering branching out.

It's more the shape and fit I'm wondering about than the wash though. I'm not a fan of how so many have a fake worn look to them so I'd be on the lookout for an indigo or mid blue pair without the wear on them that would pair up nicely with a breton. they can work but you need them to fit right (wrong) really, it is pretty easy for them just to look ill-fitting, but they definitely can work, and if you want to branch out from skinny then they're probably worth a look... wool is fine as long as you don't wash it really hot, and don't tumble dry it. Merino wool in particular actually has anti-bacterial properties so it needs washing less.

It's not especially hard to dry, I mean yeah don't chuck it in the tumbler dryer but put it on a radiator or whatever. Also wool is good at keeping you warm, even when it gets wet (compared to cotton, which doesn't) which combined with the antimicrobial affects is why it's frequently used for performance materials and cycling clothes (for example).

Travel.
Doesn't even need to be too far, if you're a busy person.
But actually exploring places, meeting people, talking to them, you know, more than just "oh hi I'm anon", so on and so forth.
Going crazy in parties, actually having fun in them, different from most men that just go to parties to pick up chicks.

when you meet someone for the first time don't immediately go into the "i'm so and so, this is my job, i went/am going to school here, i played this sport, this was my major" etc etc laundry list of "getting to know you" shit. talk about something in the immediate situation or in something you'd guess they'd be interested in. don't force convos that have subjects you can tell they don't care about or dont want to talk about. Have you ever seen some autist go on on and on in a completely one sided conversation about some shit no one cares about, and everytime he finishes a sentence everyone just goes "yeah" or "i unno" and doesnt look engaged at all? and then the guy just keeps spewing more shit about that?
dont do that.
most of the time people do this because they are really anxious about impressing people and making friends, so they keep talking and talking about shit to show how smart/interesting they are and forget to look and see if anyone is actually interested. dont ever do this please. just relax. you've got nothing to prove. if you have a conversation with someone, do it because you enjoy the conversation.

have fun at parties the same way. relax. have a brew. get down on the dance floor even if you're by yourself. people will start dancing with you if you are obviously having a good time. find someone who looks interesting and strike up a conversation. just have fun man theres no way to explain it you just got to let go of your fucking anxiety

This. This happens every time I go to a party, most guys stay at the bar, or only go to the floor if they're already with a chick, but I was always in the middle of the dancefloor enjoying it and shit, and people just come to you.

Where to cop jacket like pic related? It's an Ace Hotel x Alpha industries fishtail parka, out of stock. I was planning on sizing down 2 sizes to get it pretty slim, and not have such a dramatic flare around the hips.

So what I need is:
>A fishtail parka:
>olive
>Waterproof (I want to not have to buy an extra raincoat, but I am willing to sacrifice waterproofness for other requirements)
>slim fitting/sleeves still fit well when sized down. less dramatic flare at bottom
> $300 is about as high as I'm willing to go, would only pay that much if it was pretty much perfect.

A detachable fur hood lining is preferred, but perma fur is unacceptable.

I would prefer a thinner jacket and layer, but would be willing to get a thicker one, if there was no other option, or if it was significantly cheaper. still has to fit slim

important requirements in green. Everything else is negotiable.

Thank you very much anyone who has any information. Once I cop some gap lived in chinos on sale, this will be the last item to finally complete my basic bitch wardrobe, before I start thinking about branching out.

is it possible to wear womens clothes if you're looking for a skinnier fit from a company that offers only "traditional" fits?

obviously I would be very careful about researching the cut.

It really depends on the garment. Pants/jeans and jackets are really easy to get away with. Most shirts and tops though are pretty obvious, especially if the buttoning is a dead giveaway.

Anyone else with hair as curly as mine?

It's normally more tame but I rolled out of bed and haven't touched it so far today.

I'm not too sure what to do with it, my girlfriend likes straightening my hair and I like the way it looks when she does but otherwise it's kind of annoying to manage.

Should I just cut it? My hairline bothers me a little bit cause it's not perfect.

you NEED to try them on before you buy them. They don't fit all feet.

also, with feet as big as yours they're likely to look like clown shoes, they have a pretty bulbous toebox. They're generally better for people with small feet.

yeah, it's generally a good idea to try something on, if you can, before dropping $300+ dollars on it.

That and, like I said, IR's have a pretty specific fit, they take a long time to break in in the best of cases, for some people they simply don't fit and thus never feel like they're broken in.

probably a good idea to keep in mind that they won't always be as stiff as they are in the store.

I did this when I was first getting into fashion too.

It's not really bad. as the other anon pointed out, it's like if one of your friends started talking about fishing, and all the different rod a hooks and whatnot, and you didn't give a rats ass.

except, everybody has to do fashion, and no one likes to think they're bad at it.

So it's kind of like talking to your friends about music, if they didn't really care and just listened to the current pop songs and whatever.

if you say how interested you are in a genre, and recommended they listen to some, that would be fine. If you constantly shit on their taste in music (even if it was in the form of advice), or were constantly bringing up how much you like your genre, that wouldn't be cool.

It's good to talk about other topics, but not if your friends don't want to.
