Is smoking weed /fa/?
I feel like being a previous smoker is cooler than currently smoking it.

If you're going to start smoking don't do the whole "this is a definitive part of my life" thing. Treat it as you would with alcohol or tobacco and be relatively nonchalant with it without smugly rubbing it anyones face. Nobody (even those who smoke) likes a cliched "yeah man 420 blaze it, legalize it, love the herb" stoner.

Also never buy into the "whole weed is harmless" thing. It definitely fucks with your head eventually and it's definitely a gateway drug, which is arguably a good thing because most harder drugs are effay.

I turned 21 recently, so fine craft beers have filled some of the void, but even when I'm slightly drunk I feel the urge to flick on that vape.
I'll probably just start doing it on weekends only, when I come home from work

rthe only bad thing is that I get so fucking hungry that I eat on a 3000 calorie binge that has me on the floor praying to jesus christ to have mercy on me.
this isn't a joke I ate so much I felt my stomach tissue stretch...tears fell from my eyes. I swore to god I'd be a better person if he made it go away.

other than it's great, since I only smoke once every few months I never build a tolerance and it's fucking amazing every time.

Thirteen-year-olds do it because they can't go to clubs or buy booze in any worthwhile quantity yet, and Americans do it for much the same reason. I used to smoke weed a lot in high school. As I got older I grew out of it. Personally I feel smoking pot is one of those things kids do. Albeit fun as a kid, once you get older, and actually have shit to do/responsibilities/don't live in your moms house/actually have to meet people, weed smoking becomes a less attractive trait to you and others around you.

I used to smoke a lot, for a couple of years actually. I had some bad experiences while high not necessarily because of the high but because of other circumstances, and after that I stopped for a long time. Nowadays even though my tolerance is really low, weed is a lot less magical for me, so if I'm with my stoner friends or whatever I'll smoke as to not be socially awkward, but I don't feel much from it. Honestly the main thing is to make sure that, like many other things, you don't let it define you, or come before what you know is more important.

Also, it's a lot more fun to be high only on occasion. Smoking multiple days in a row can really tend to dumb people down intellectually and creatively, at least in my experience.

It sounds to me like you know it's time to let go of it as a regular thing. When I quit being sober for a long period of time (about 9 months) was an enjoyable contrast to my previous habits. When you're high a lot you do really live in a haze, which isn't bad for most people, just not optimal.
