I know, I know. I care more about how it looks than the quality. And I am aware that higher quality jackets will also look better. I just can't afford to drop $1000 on a jacket atm.
I just want one to get all the girls soaking wet. I look like I take it up the butt 99% of the time so its not like I > dress for girls often.

You might as well wear a clown outfit, because no one is going to take you seriously when you wear a leather jacket. You probably think you look like Marlon Brando, but the truth is that you don't. You actually look like a nerd that is trying to look badass when wearing a leather jacket.
My advice: Leather jackets. Dont wear 'em. Why shouldn't you wear them? They look like shit. All. The. Time. Get real. Stop trying to look cool, because you are not cool and you are not a badass. Wear something else that looks good and doesn't make you look stupid.
The truth is, leather jackets never look good. You should never wear a leather jacket. They are pretty much the fedora-level jackets. Let me tell you one thing. You will look autistic when you wear a leather jacket. Again, never wear a leather jacket. They look like shit.

ekam is currently really big in japan. the jackets retail for ~250 usd and are similar cut to rick owens jackets, slim fitting with high set and smaller armholes.

theyre designed by kanya miki, a recent antwerp graduate who worked under bierendonck before creating his brand

im not going to vouch for something i have seen or worn in real life, but according to people i know who own ekam, its really very nice for the price point...the money is saved by using smaller pieces of leather, less extravagant linings, and not really top end zippers.

i would say the vast majority of leathers retailing under 600 usd and manufactured outside of europe or japan are not using very good quality material. high end leather is generally extremely expensive, and will drive up the retail prices, particularly for smaller brands, very quickly

(imo)

if youre looking for a cheap leather, look at the cut and fit of the jacket, because youre stuck with mediocre material due to your price point.

if you want high quality materials, throw down 700-900 for a decent used leather
