this isnt "skater fashion" this is a poser ass fedora wearin nigga with a cruiser that he fell off of on the way to his photoshoot so he had to carry it.

>> No.6840926

if by skater fashion you actually mean "trying my best to not look like a skater" then sure.

I put it as a joke but slightly serious. There's some decent short sleeved button downs in there with some nice patterns. Nothing that screams HURLEY on the front. I got a nice solid color button down from rvca there that's actually really nice

>Implying that real skaters even try to pull of skater look intentionally.

>> No.6841087

>>6841067
Now that I think of it, I have an RVCA long sleeve that I like, so I'll look into that. Any (serious) ideas on brands that carry short sleeve button ups? I've been looking and looking, but most just feel way too baggy and the tailors around me suck ass and are too far away.

>> No.6841366

>>6841087
Not really. I go in there maybe once a month and there's usually a total of 2 things I like. Around here the button ups seem to end up on the clearance rack in the back so I just dart there. I know it's serious mall crawler stuff but stop in ever so often and see if there's anything you like.

The shoes I skate in each have a hole in the bottom, the sides a wearing thin, multiple burns/melt holes on the top. And also sitting in a girls house for like two months, fuck I miss those shoes

>skater fashion

all the ""real"" skaters who live by my place (high school boys who look like cokeheads and lit do nothing but shoot video smoke and skate) by me wear neff or shitty tye dye thrasher shirts and cheapo black jeans, fuckin nothing else you will never catch them in DGK or stussy or diamond with those ugly ass button downs or HUF or some shit like that and all their shoes look fucking hideous. if not its walmart flannel + sagging str8 leg jeans + vans erry day

their freshman gfs wear essentially a girly version of the same

i mean if ur into that kool, but if u dress like op pic then u probably ride a penny board huh?

this is true

most of the skaters around here wear ratty ass shit and don't really give a fuck what they wear

the "skaters" that carry around penny boards or bring a clean ass fancy plan B board around wear the aforementioned button downs, quiet life etc... indistinguishable from streetwear

a year from now, the latter will have quit skateboarding

If we're talking skate denim go for KR3W, Altamont, Volcom, and Insight.

I've been skating for a little over 10 years, and those 4 brands are by far the best looks-wise and durability-wise (Volcom 2x4 are my fave skinny jeans for skating)

my friends that skate usually just wear shirts from goodwill and levi's because they're cheap and hold up (relatively) well. There really is no such thing as skater fashion because if you actually skate then you more than likely don't give a shit about fashion.

When I was in HS and skating what just ramping up again ('00-'02) the "fashion" was baggy jeans, XL tee shirts with skate brands on them, and fat-tongue skate shoes like Mantecas. You didn't want to wear nice things because skating inevitably destroys clothes and shoes.
