Daily reminder that menswear (dadcore) does not suit *anyone* under the age of 35. If you are udner 35 and wear dadcore you are as bad as a fedora-wearer.

>> No.6814585

Daily reminder that 99% of this board doesn't know what fucking "dadcore" actually means and has little to no taste outside of impractical streetwear.

menswear, dadcore, its all gay. who cares what its called?

>it's all gay
What does this even fucking mean? What do you feel is wrong with proper menswear?

>> No.6814635

>>6814610
its too tryhard. It reminds me of high schoolers who have picked up their first issue of GQ, emulating the outfits that they see in that magazine. It is goofy, out of place, and tryhard.

dadcore = menswear that looks awful (fedora, baggy suits, huge cuffed raws etc)

>> No.6814658

>>6814635
Right, because streetwear isn't tryhard to the same individuals on the other side of the opinion.

I seriously doubt menswear is even in "GQ," and some of us actually have to work for a living, unlike you.

so basically button-ups, sweaters, cardigans, non-jean pants etc. are all dadcore. Doesn't that mean Raf, Lanvin, Ervell, pretty much every non-"street wear" brand is dadcore?

according to /fa/

honestly, /fa/ can sound like a bunch of edgy fucking kids sometimes.

>look at me, I'm so rebellious and cool

>haha faggot, you dress like my dad

It implies that that's a bad thing, which implies that /fa/ is full of teenagers who are so angsty over how uncool their parents are.

Dadcore is #menswear taken to its comical extreme. Like guys who are dressed in argle sweater vests and bowties because they think it's "classy." That's dadcore. If you have a "real job" you're probably going to be wearing menswear whether you like it or not. It's pretty easy to do so and not look like a huge tool

This.
/fa/ used to be about more mature tight fitting styles, but now it just seems like its full of edgy young adults who want to hold on to their teen years and show that they are still young. It's like they're going through a mid life crises without actually being in their mid life. Kind of sad.

If you casually wear suits and dress preppy without a reason to do so (having a white collar job or attending a private university, respectively), you will get some flak. It's too inconvenient to wear clothes that have to be dry cleaned when not in those situations. Hardly anybody on this site (both lurkers and posters) actually wears more than a t-shirt, jeans/chinos, and sneakers for their daily wear.

One person thinks that. Read the thread. Everyone else is calling that one guy a faggot.

What you're saying is that since that one guy posted the leather jacket pasta a bunch, /fa/ dislikes leather jackets, even though people called him an idiot every time he posted that.
