What are good fitting jeans/chinos for men that aren't outrageously expensive?

I own shit from GAP (sorry) and goddammit they fit like shit. They make my thighs and ass appear bigger and just get loose after that.
I'm not sure if I want a very slim fit since my legs might not be thin enough, I'm just searching for jeans that make my legs appear normal and look good altogether. For a reasonable price. H&M? I don't care about quality that much, just about fit.

Also how many jeans should one own and how frequently should one wash them?

It depends on what kind of jeans you wear and what you want out of them. Your best option is trying on a lot of jeans and learning which styles fit you in each brand. "Skinny" in one brand might be "slim straight" in another.

I only wash my jeans when I'm around animals or smokers.

What kind of jeans I wear? Up to now, I've been going with skinny fits, but GAP being horrible, I don't know really.
I'd like to stick with one brand for now, as I'm not ready to spend a lot of money on jeans. My legs aren't extremely skinny, and since I want to be able to move freely, I don't think a very slim cut would fit me.

>I only wash my jeans when I'm around animals or smokers

But... What if you sweat inside them? Don't they stink after some time?
How many jeans do you own?

Levi's have never given me a problem nor have the jeans at Pac Sun. I think they are called BullHead jeans or something.

As I said, it's not about quality but rather about fit.
Since I'm not skinny enough to wear extra slim stuff without being uncomfortable but still don't want baggy stuff nor want my legs to appear big (I wear very fitted tees so it'd look strange), which Levi's fit would be best for me in your opinion?

And, again, how many jeans should one own

Uniqlo.
Or drop a hundred on some APC's and those last you a much longer time.

>>6809977
Uniqlo's fits are similar to H&M's if I'm not mistaken, right?

If APC has comparable prices to Levi's, then I can afford one or two. I have to see if the fits are good

You just gotta go and try that shit on. At Levi's they can help you out since its almost exclusively and primarily a jeans store. Talk to an employee there about what you want and try those jeans on. Also I would say get three pairs of jeans each in a different color. Thats what I have done.

I have yet to understand why /fa/ likes apc's and levi's jeans so much.

Ugly fits imo.

Try them on, huh. I'm too lazy usually, but I'll make an effort. I'll go to Levi's then - the quality matches the price, right?
On a related note, I got told just now that Balmain jeans were absolutely great, but damn that price.

>three pairs
Will do, thanks.

>>6810060
Ugly fits? In which ways?
Could you tell me what you consider to be a good fit? I can't really tell

Im not trying to be an asshole, its just that posts like yours dont need to exist.

Not implying that at all, especially the latter - don't flatter yourself.

Fact is though, levi's are mentioned in the sticky and I think they are a horrible starting point because they look really old-fashioned; in most cases they give a straight leg silhoutte, which should be avoided in my opinion. The pics of apcs and levi's I see here often portray said silhoutte.

lol don't be fucking fat b.
the gap is poor-fag tier but they at $50 their authentic skinny/skinny/extra-slim line is superior than 510,511.

whats your height/weight and current gap jeans?

Six pairs of jeans, I wash them after wearing them all day. If I only wear it for a few hours at night I might wear them again. Turn them inside out before washing and add a half cup of white vinegar to the wash water.
