I just washed my n&f after 7 months and am really happy. Since I can only wear black jeans at work, I wanted to get a pair of black raws, but wanted to try a new brand.. Any suggestions? I wear a size 31 weird guy, I'd be willing to try another n&f but figured I may as well try something new. Help with sizing would be appreciated too ;)

Need a new pair of raws, thinking about picking up pic related, wanting somthing heavy (heavier than 14oz at least) I felt like the unbranded i just wore are really shitty to what I can get. If anyone has any suggestions to heavier denim under 200$, let me know

Actually the muted colors work fairly well with those shoes. They're still very loud so they're going to draw attention to them and cause some general clashing with your clothes, but it isn't terrible. I just figure those shoes work better with blacks and whites, where the showiness can draw attention to the shoes without it clashing.

Well Unbranded aren't as well made to begin with as N&F. You can still get crotch blowouts on Naked and Famous but you can get away with lighter denim and still getting good quality jeans that are less likely to blowout on you. My suggestion is to check Gilt for Naked and Famous (or Nudies), find a type you like because they almost always have pairs on there for real cheap.

>>6779293
Because 40 waist size jeans is morbidly obese, and it seemed slim chances that that was legitimately what it was measuring. Also "Dress Shorts" is also a giveaway. A lot of more formal items will be sized as suit size.

My advice to you would be to hold out on buying clothes. If you're building your wardrobe you're probably frantic about it and buying a bunch of stuff you feel lukewarm on rather than building a cohesive closet. You'll get a lot of random clothes that way. Look more at outfits and buy based on those. Don't look so much at individual items. This will be a much slower, and more expensive, process, but ultimately you're going to be much more satisfied with how you look. You'll also develop your own taste this way as well.

Yeah you defined my entire wardrobe before /fa/. So many fucking $20 tees and pacsun pants that faded within a month jesus.

With raw denim the usual rule of thumb is to size down because of the stretching. Acne's website says true to size however. To make it more complicated people on here:

Are saying to size up if you have an athletic build. I'd say all that in mind, go 32. You really do want a tight fit for a while before they stretch, so really do your research before copping them

Last pair of jeans I tried out was whyred's and I had to size up to 34 to get a nice fit. I think they were inhumanely slim though, cus acne's 32s fit well on me and I usually wear 32.

Max raws were minimally looser compared to ace, but it didn't make a substantial difference.

Hey /fa/, I'm having a hard time finding a pair of raw selvedge jeans that fit me.

I squat a lot and have 24.5" thighs at 185 lbs bodyweight at 6'1 height. I plan on weighing at least 200 lbs in the near future and my legs will probably get bigger.

The Unbranded 301's (straight cut) that I bought a few months ago feel like leggings on my legs and ass and it's awful. They've stretched at the waist but are still ridiculous at the thigh.

I'm really stuck as to what pair of jeans would fit me best. n&f's weird guys have a good price point, but I'm afraid that they will still be too small on my legs unless I size up to a 36 waist (I'm a 33-34 in reality). Another brand that seems like they would fit is Tellason's Ankara fit jean, but the price is high and I'm worried that it won't be worth it.

Can anyone please help me? I'm considering just buying a pair of Levis and saying "fuck it" because I really need a pair of jeans and I can't wear shorts any longer. But I love the fading of raw denim.

Thank you for proving my point- you clearly lack basic literacy skills. Reread my post. Realize that I also advised him to size. Also saying "Levi's haven't fit well" completely ignores the fact that fit is based on personal preference and body type. As for quality, Levi's will hold up until he can afford a better pair (and even longer than that). I'll make it clearer, then. levi's cut quality has significantly worsened, and you are unlikely to find any kind of fashionable cut with even the skinniest of Levis unless you are a husky dude or somehow have abnormally thick legs (this is in part to skinny fit jeans becoming popular with fatter people)

I don't think that poster mentioned being a fatass or having treetrunks, did you happen to spot that while I missed it?

You probably have bitch legs if you don't think 510s are skinny enough.

>> No.6781505

>>6781475
You are still missing the point, which is that even the skinniest of Levis fits are normal or slim cuts compared to any other fashionable brand of denim (besides low-tier raws.)

I read your post. You're delusional if you think anyone who disagrees with you must not have read your post, becuase I'm bringing entirely new information here. I realize what you said because I read it the first time, it just so happens that I what I said is not refuted by what you said previously.

>> No.6781507

If you can, try to save up for APC petit standards or n&f weird guys. Levi's made and crafted Tack fit are super skinny as well. Can be had for ~$60 at barney as mentioned previously in this thread.

>> No.6781508

>>6781499
Or I probably buy skinny jeans from people who actually sell skinny fits and not vanity sized levis.

I have old Levis skinnies that are great, honestly, but recently they doctored their skinny sizing to be way wider and they really won't fit anyone seeking a true skinny fit (skinny people)

You are literally strawmanning. (assuming you're still the Yale guy) (if not then here's a free lesson: don't strawman)

I'm also still right, I am bringing new information, even if its information you don't like because its partially my own conjecture, and partially a change in levis sizing trends that make them undependable buys for anyone seeking skinny jeans.

>>6781532
I did misspeak on that somewhat, since in terms of actual measurement, Levis aren't vanity sized, but rather their skinny cuts are just wider than they used to be and wider than what the standard usually is. my bad :3c
