Can someone please explain these ugly ass shoes to me? I've seen a million pairs of these things while out at bars or at weddings. They are all the same color and they are fucking shiny.

Why do women have such terrible taste in shoes?

They are almost the equivalent of the austism-tier, brown, sketchers with the weird stripes on the side.

Disclaimer: I'm a man and I'm straight. I have no idea why I'm noticing these ugly shoes all over the place.

Those shoes are just ugly and i can't fathom why girls would think they are good looking.

OP, those shoes became popular in early 2000's as a classic shoe. You have to remember that like at first it might have been a super stylish and well made pair of those, Louboutin's or something.. then like came the afterhang of cheap shoe shops making them.. and the extra afterhang of people still thinking they are classic and stuff. The reason this trend has managed to trickle down is because, it has features which seem non offensive, ahh cream, it's light and non offensive, ahh a round toe, thats non offensive... etc.

that's wonderful, but i'm not sure what your point is. even in flat shoes, it should be the muscles in the stomach, the butt, and the hips that do the work of lifting your legs. the muscles in the legs themselves are for holding you up only. in heeled shoes it's the difference between wearing them for half an hour or all day. in flat shoes it's the difference between crapping out after one or ten miles and preventing certain kinds of long term damage.
