Arc'teryx and Taiga both started in vancouver around the same time both made outdoor hiking/backpacking/climbing gear for the wet and cold west coast.

Arc'teryx put money into marketing, got bought by Adidas and became world famous.

Taiga Works never did any of that, and is still a small operation in Vancouver.
