Alright /fa/ i have a $700 budget for new clothes for back to school and i was wondering if you snappy dressers could help me find some clothes in the style i like.
>Jeans, i am willing to go up to 300. I like Diesel, Naked and Famous, Scotch and Soda.
>Shoes, i can find myself
>Hoodies and Sweaters, i like the laid back look of Obey, Diamond, and 10Deep
>T-Shirts, same as above, but i am open to more preppy things like Armani Exchange.
>Shorts, adidas/nike and same as Hoodies and Sweaters

acne ace cash jeans, 200usd
hoodies and sweaters and outerwear, go to reigning champ for hoodies, and for outerwear read the sticky
if you only want to buy a few really nice shirts, go for acne shirts, if not, get a ton of uniqlo shirts, uniqlo shirts are the bomb

I appreciate good quality denim but i am flexible. That's why i said up to 300.
Only good mall close to me has Jack & Jones, Zummiez, and some other stores. The better stores are in Toronto and the surrounding area which is like 45 mins away.

If I took a picture wearing $50 Levis jeans and then posted a picture of me wearing $300 higher quality jeans, how noticeable would the difference be?

Consider a Flint & Tinder Ten Year hoodie for 90. I know there have been some people who disagreed with my endorsement of this garment, but after touching one I believe they're a better choice than uniqlo/AA/UO.
They come in a nice grey and a good black, they're thick, and the hood is spacious.

Pair of N&F off of Ebay or Gilt - $90
Pair of Diesel black skinnies - $200
3 streetwear t-shirts - $70
American Giant hoodie - $90
2 oxfords from Uniqlo - $60 bucks
2 Uniqlo sweaters - $80

That's 110 bucks left for shipping and whatever the fuck else you want.

Only $700 budget to make your entire wardrobe? This is going to be hard m8, buy a pair of n&f indigo raws, try to find acne ace cash or max cash or max satin for sale, get a bunch of AA, H&M or uniqlo t shirts....

Save some money, in the future find CPs, MMMs, flyknits, roshes etc for sale, , look for W+H/wang/jil/acne/rag & bone/apc/our legacy t shirts, if you REALLY want a hoodie, which I don't recommend, at least save money to get a decent hoodie from geller or wang or W+H or acne. For outerwear I don't know, I live in a hot weather area, I rarely wear outerwear.
Stay away from hypeshit street brands such as obey and the like, and stay even farther away from A/X. No A/X pls OP. I don't even need to mention Hollister.
Nike/adidas shorts only to go to the gym and to the drugstore (if it's 2 minute away from your house pls OP).
Diesel has A FEW nice jeans, I have 2 diesel chinos in black and khaki which fit me nicely, but 80% of diesel jeans are shit. Look for darker tones, black, indigo, dark black etc. 90% of their pre distressed jeans suck.
Also don't buy graphic t shrts. The few brands that make nice graphic t shirts like ervell, acne, apc, raf, jil, geller, lanvin, phillip lim, etc you can't afford, at least not retail, and even for sale they're probably expensive for you.

For the more expensive stuff I mentioned just lurk the the famous boutiques websites like oki ni/tres bien/porter/ssense/maas & stacks/totokaelo/la garconne/barneys/etc for long enough and you'll find what you want for sale. I ALWAYS find something good for me with 70% off, even being XS for t shirts and 28 for jeans.

Before name dropping brands like obey and A/X lurk some more.If you're going to namedrop at least say raf simons and rick owens, not these shit brands.
Have a nice day OP, it took me a long time to write this so remember me when you're about to enter the Armani Exchange store in the mall near your home and don't fucking enter.

I stand to rise above the negro likeness. I'm not going full swag fag. These clothes are just for back to school which means just occasional stuff i can put on in 15-20 mins and get on my way.
I hear what you're saying, that stuff is when i go out with friends and i have a few friends who go on /fa/ and wear the stuff many of you have been recommending.

>> No.6717461

I treat Hollister and Abercrombie like the Black Death. Only reason i like A/X is because you can find some nice stuff for a decent price. I was looking to buy one pair of Diesels and it's these black jogg jeans with some nice stitching on the side.
I'll really take this into consideration because you explained it really well.

>> No.6717614

>>6717461
I don't know how is A/X's current season, if you can find plain t shirts, indigo jeans and unbranded hoodies there go for it, but I find that very unlikely. I've been there brah, 2 years ago I used to shop at A|X, and the last time I entered the store 99% of their clothes were branded, and what wasn't branded was really overpriced. In that price range or for a little bit more you can get better button downs at AA, better t shirts at H&M or uniqlo, better jeans from N&F or even unbranded and levis, better hoodies and sweaters from our legacy, the list goes on...
Even at such places you can find one or two OK pieces that might be good for the buck, but since you are unexperienced, as a rule of thumb just avoid A|X.
I have these Diesel chinos (http://store.diesel.com/us/slim-carrot_cod36405547bl.html)) in black and khaki, sent them to the tailor to taper in the tights and back and crop the hem and they fit me perfectly now. I don't know about jogg jeans, looks nice on the website, never seen on person. Problem with Diesel is that it is very close in price to APC/Acne/etc, which have much better quality in general. Fuck, some of their jeans are more expensive than my geller and attachment jeans. For sale around the $100s-$150s they're not bad though.
I paid retail price on my Diesel chinos and I like them, but If I were to buy them now I'd only pay sale price, never retail.

Anyways brah, Obey, Diamond and 10deep are going to make you look like a daft cunt. You want that sort of look without looking like an asshole? Go for brands like HUF, Stussy and Quiet Life.
