Can we get a black boot general thread?

I am currently on the lookout for some black boots. They need to have a slim silhouette and not be to low (and I really like it if they look a bit distressed and slouchy, but that comes naturally with age). I love about everything that Augusta/A.Diciannoveventitre puts out, but obviously that's only for people with assloads of money.

Anyone got some suggestions for some good boots that would not require me to sell my house? I've been looking into Buttero a bit, love their distressed boot, but still a little expensive.

Anyone know where to look for good black chelsea boots in Melbourne / online?

Basically never gave a damn what I wore before so I genuinely don't know where to look. I saw pic related on ASOS for $65 but I'd rather try on the shoes first (and I don't know if I should trust asos as far as quality and style go).

Other than asos the only place I can think of is yd and their shoes really don't last.
