Pic related. NWT classic navy docs, just my size, eight dollars. I nearly lost it.

I've had a couple.
Few pairs of Nudies, A Visvim shirt, Crockett & Jones boots etc. But my best ever find was a Bill Bryson book with $855 cash inside, nearly had a heart attack

Volunteering for a library I had a few small finds like that, but nothing more than 20-30 bucks.
Wow, nice find!!!
I bet you broke out in a cold sweat and looked hunted for a hot minute.

Considering most of my wardrobe is thrifted.
>my tie collection
I have one for every occasion, Christmas, meetings, casual, winter, summer, spring, autumn, birthday. Some solid knits, some silk stripes, some woven wool and others tartan. One is even covered in dicks from my bachelor party. I don't know where they found it.
>My coats
1 brown cord, 1 tan cord, 1 cotton, 1 brown, 1 green houndstooth, 1 navy, 1 grey. The grey is a yves saint laurant, the others are custom jobs my tailor estimates to be upwards of $300 when done, for each.
>watch
Found a swiss army pocket watch. Totally worth it to add to my collection, it lies next to my mechanical, a gift for my wedding. Above another thrift store find, a fake Rolex, with "real" diamonds above the numbers and "24 carot gold" band.
> my camping clothes
linen long sleeve under shirt, topped with a knee length wool shirt, and highwaisted tan canvas pants. leather suspenders. moccasin boots.
(full mountain man when i go /out/ and to rendez vous)
>Misc belts
Some nice vintage ralph lauren belts in green/black/orange with leather tabs, another in navy/white/single red stripe.
Took me 5 years, but my wardrobe went from basics to fantastic, total costs are $250 something for everything i thrifted. Estimated costs by my tailor for the thrifted wardrobe is over $2000.

Seriously? Because that's a sick cop.
Their men's section is so goddamn small and everything is ridiculously overpriced I can't even stand in there.
I live in Bushwick so I frequent The Urban Jungle and this junk shop near Jefferson on the L where I get audio equipment.
The Urban Jungle is huge and ridiculously cheap. Plus the guy who works there is really cool. It's better if you're tall (I'm 6'1") because the good stuff tends to be bigger.

just go to the east village & sprint from when u get off the train until u reach tokio7. theres a ton of drkshdw pants in there rn & a cool siki im bomber w/ backpack straps + the t7 stds like rag & bone, dior jeans, slp, lanvin, margiela ...

they also had some cheap bbs tops, a pair of august as, and two MBD-tier older junya skirts. price range is around $50 - $200 for everyth. u should probably have a good grasp of brands going in so u dont overpay for smth like current helmut

Occasionally. The Urban Jungle is like the socialist version of a thrift store so the high end stuff is mixed in with the shit and everything costs around 5 bucks.

You probably won't find monitors at the junk shop. But I've never gone looking for monitors there.
Just imagine a really fucking big thriftstore (a little closer to a warehouse) with shelves that reach the ceiling and aisles that can only fit 1 and a half people). Now imagine a lot less clothes and a lot more stuff. Just so much stuff. Old records. Receivers. Shitty turntables. Cups. Dinnerware. Lamps. Furniture. Art. Everything imaginable and so much more. Its a really great place and It's run by an old hissidic jew guy who's pretty nice and you can haggle with. (I don't want to hear anything bad about Jews because I've dealt with so many and they've never been nothing but good with me and im not even white. I'm a spic) Also there's an amazing Mexican place across the street.
Are you new to New York?

I have an anxiety disorder, it's manageable, just that before doing something, I have to imagine myself completing the task, visualize going through with whatever it is I'm about to do. So when things don't go as I imagine (for the worse or for the better, it doesn't matter), I freak out a little. So I envisioned a standard trip to the grocery store and a visit to the neighboring Goodwill. I stumbled upon a previously-worn Alexander McQueen dress from his final collection. I threw up when I got back to my car. I didn't even try it on. It didn't fit originally, but I got it tailored.
