I wear them mostly with black bottoms, yeah.
If you're wearing black/grey pants, you could introduce color with your tops, but that's up to you.

For 60 bucks though, those lunar braatas are a steal, even if you can't wear them with EVERY outfit.

No, I haven't posted anything from this style yet, but I'm about to. I have a pretty complete wardrobe at this point but I've been waiting on the arrival of a few key pieces before I start posting it.
I was going to pair the warriors with some thin olive flight pants or RLX space cargos (Pic Related), and a Prps distressed MA-1 jacket, which is a recent cop.
There's a whole bunch of ways to wear these boots, but I think they're easiest to work into space or tech themed fits.
You can get these pants online for 50 bux right now. They're totally worth it if you have the wardrobe to support them. RalphLauren.com is where I got mine, they gave me a 40% discount at checkout.

Any well-functioning trainer can go, I think.

I personally wouldn't wear these for a number of reasons, but I don't think they're an objectively bad piece. They're a normal trainer, just in a bunch of colors. Imagine them in the context of a "Tumblrcore" fit, which I know isn't /fa/'s cup of tea, but like any style there's good and bad ways to do it.

One of the nice things about techwear is that pretty much *anything* can be techwear, because it's all about materials and construction, and about context. It's not just "ninja," or "business casual" like the guy below, or whatever. Like last week or something there was a thread with a guy asking for beach fashion inspo, and he was getting no responses, and for some reason I felt like drawing pic related up just for fun/maybe being a little helpful. Both fits are beach-optimized in function and "beachcore" in style, versus being "streetwear" or "*ninja" or whatever, and I don't think either is basic in a negative way, just in terms of being simple.

>>6679260
>I wear the bottoms, and outerwear. I have yet to try their shirts because I heard poor things about the fit and look.

I've heard the same thing, plus they're just cotton with fancy treatments.

Massif has a killer sale going on their fashion line's dress shirts ($50) but I don't have any experience and they're unclear about composition. Just the usual "our fabric does all this awesome shit!"

I trust them a bit more, though, because they're a military contractor who's done the engineering for e.g. the fabric on the new flame retardant combat shirts. Who knows, though.

>Also sidenote, I love how Techwear can blend in with minimalism since every piece in theory is functional. Nothing unnecessary and unneeded.

Honestly, my hard drive's a mess, I lose everything that's not text searchable, and they're actually pretty easy to make. Goes fast, like twenty minutes, assuming you know your way around Google and a few brands/designers in the general neighborhood of what you're going for. Here's how I made that one:

- See the beach thread, think about how I'm going to the beach soon, think about some beach bums I know, hmm, what would tech beachwear be like? I guess I'll illustrate it. (Which is a habit I got from writing - talking about literary criticism, Martin Amis has this great line about how you have to "proceed by quotation." It sort of sunk in to everything for me.)

Basic concept was immediate and easy: swimsuits integrated into the fits, everything polyester, to wick and dry quickly, and getting soaked all the time will help a little with the stink.

- Decide to do both genders, to do the women's first, to start with Gyakusou because I love it and the skirt because it's just as functional as shorts, but a little unexpected.

- Think of beach bum wear, think of it a little nicer, think of a basic, beat, classic, no-more's-needed oversize summer gingham shirt with matching purple over a bikini worn with the skirt. Figure a bikini will be easier to find than trawling a bunch of classic menswear brands to find out who the hell is making purple gingham this season.

- So I head to Speedo. I don't really know any fashion swimwear brands, because dropping a bunch of money on a noncompetition swimsuit has always seemed at odds with the carefree vibe I've always associated with the beach, summer, casual swimming. I see all the one-pieces, think of the bodysuit+bottoms look I've always like the simplicity of, and start looking at those. See that one with the abstract graphic that reminds me of Tumblr's favorite tee. Done, basically.

>> No.6681088

>>6681082

- For the mens', to continue the swimsuit-plus-one-other-piece thing, I Google "best boardshort." In the top five I see both Gizmodo and Complex talking about just those, and they turn out to be kind of techy, too. I choose that colorway because the other ones - I can't remember what they were - seemed too similar to colors in the womens', and I'm doing two genders mostly to show variety.

- The top was a touch harder. I knew it had to be a poly runner's shirt, and I was thinking a zip neck tank at first. I pull up Arc'teryx because I figured they had to have one that wasn't entirely boring, and they turned out to have ones in that perfect matching colorway. I had to choose between a zip henley and a crew tank, and I chose the henley for versatility, figuring if it was really too hot he could just go shirtless.

- The sandals are just the techiest looking sandals I know. That they came in matching colorways was again just great chance.

- I originally thought of a different pair of Margiela sunglasses, but when I punched "Margiela sunglasses" into Google and saw those, I thought they worked perfectly with the "updated summer beach classics" vibe. The Malmstens were always a given.

- The Cilogear and the Rickshaw I knew. Sea Bags I discovered typing "sailcloth bags" into Google looking for some other thing.

- I knew Nau makes good, at least kind of interesting waterproof hoodies, so I went to their site and picked one.

- I wanted to hurry up and finish, so I caved on the brand diversity thing and just Googled up "Gyakusou hoody mens" or something and picked one that worked.

>> No.6681096

>>6681088

- And then I added the note about the original gingham, because it still seems like a good idea, something someone who spent the whole season at the beach would just have, tossed in the back of their open top Jeep or '80s Land Cruiser or whatever. Plus, something needs to be there if your top doesn't dry fast enough.

Took me maybe ~20 minutes, IIRC? Give me some concept or idea or something and I'll come up with another.

>>6680767

I wouldn't, although I'm sure they're okay for the price. Stuff like that just leaves me wondering "well, why not the other leg?"

Would I be able to find a techwear-esque M-51 fishtail parka preferably with a faux fur hood?

Basically the Alpha Industries x Mastermind Japan M-51 without the patches.

I've already looked at pretty much every Cheap Monday fishtail parka that isn't the Francis one (don't really like it) and I literally cannot find any that are black and in size small.

While on the subject of summer tech wear, this is the Rapha merino crew-neck. Merino is honestly the best baselayer tech fabric, super light, breathable, and temperature-regulating. And it doesn't get smelly because merino wool has natural anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties. Also not itchy like other wools. Way better than dri-fit or the poly/cotton blends.

it took seeing them five or more times over the course of the month to realize how amazing they are
they look like insect eyes, they look biological and technical. biotech shoes
I think 'biocore' will be something, someday, after lunarcore. but these shoes can be pulled off, nothing in my wardrobe mind you but it can be done.

They're just hard to work with, all those pieces and colours aren't minimal at all. how to balance with other clothes, do not know.
