I even keep around a pile of shoe inserts for when I find awesome value shoes which turn out not quite to fit. With jeans, you want the hips, crotch and rise to fit beautifully. Anything else can be altered--taken in, that is to say, but not generally made longer or roomier.

Get used to resales (and making a profit from them) as well. But that's a whole other topic for another day.

The denim is pretty decent for the price at allsaints. The damascus cords have a great fit for a slim guy. They don't make any inseam longer than a 32. They've done decent jap selvedge before.
Don't buy anything with poly in it.
Don't buy any of the leather jackets.
Don't buy the knits unless you can feel them in person.
Most of their stuff is like Zara with extensive finishing. There are techniques fast fashion companies use to make the garments look as good as possible IN-STORE. Take them out of the store, live in them, wash them once or twice, something almost intangible leaves the garment forever. It's like the spirit of the piece just disintegrated in the wash.
The truth of the matter is that there are all sorts of chemical treatments, enzyme washes, waxes, spray dyes, etc. that are used to dress up subpar material. All Saints makes their dollar charging for dumbed down designer rips that are just a little more extreme than you might find at Zara or H&M. What they really do is condense a particular niche of the current fashion zeitgeist into a seasonal collection. They do it for as cheap as possible, but the twists that all saints add to the mix are:
1.) Crank the finishing up to 11.
2.) Offer a certain demographic copies of things we know they would already own if they knew such things even existed outside the doors of our store.

So they're bilking you on your lack of education, you feel me?
