Please don't try to buy leather boots under $100. The reason those boots look so good is because they are made with the proper material and with proper construction techniques. If you can't afford that (you're looking at $300+, much more for Viberg) then you need to look for something else. Your budget calls for sneakers and not much else.

It's way less because there is a trade-off. You won't find ones that look like the style viberg makes. I have a couple pairs of yuketen boots, but one (black ones in pic) doesn't fit me very well. it was one of my first pairs of boots and back then I didn't know about the whole sizing down a half size for boots thing.

(the pic is a crop of a larger picture that I just have on my computer already, so it's not a great picture)

I wanna get into boots, especially because it gets so cold where I live.

1) Is there like a general rule of thumb when sizing for boots? Do most, if not all, boots fit large or does it vary from designer to designer like with sneakers?
2) Has any of you had any experience with Royal Republiq? Are they any good? Most of their boots are lined, which is nice to have in cold weather. Pic related.
3) What is the preferred sole type for harsh climates in fall/winter (cold, snow, rain, sleet, you name it)? I read Vibram soles lose their touch when in cold weather.

Help a brother out!

Very, very bad. Awful colouring, stitching is horrible, and Clark's leather is mediocre at best.

Ugly. I don't hate Clark's; some of their collaborative shoes are nice, and their desert boots are not the worst things ever. But I do hate those ones. The leather looks bad, the buckles look pointless, and the color palette of the whole thing rubs me the wrong way. They look awful IMO.

unless you're hanging out with hunters, who cares? just say you appreciate hunting on an aesthetic level, or you feel the call of the wild or some shit. you don't need to justify your sense of style to anyone.

>>6647769
1) Generally they run bigger to fit thick socks, sizing down half is usually (but not always) right.
2) I haven't.
3) Vibram 2060 doesn't grip well on ice, but I don't slip as much with the vibram christy. I think a lug sole would probably be good but I'm not speaking from experience on this one.

>>6647786
you generally need to buy from the designers who work with that aesthetic. generally rouger textures, shades of black and dark gray, and either very minimally designed boots or sneakers.

here's a pro tip. need to find a fit of something?

google like this "clark sand site:dressed.so"

without the quotes obviously and replace "clark sand" with a simple way to describe what your looking for. I tried just "clark suede" but it came up with more results that weren't sand and if i searched for "clarks desert boots sand suede" id get way to many results. try to break your search down to unique but common short phrases because some people will spell things differently such as putting it "clarks dessert boots" instead of "clark's desert boots"
