Yeah that's probably the main reason. Architects still need to rely on sketching and writing by hand to work through ideas and explain concepts to clients/others.

And perhaps it's just one of those things that's become ingrained into architecture, from a time when all architects would've drawn and annotated all their drawings by hand. Making everything legible would've meant a less chance of your barely-literate builder placing a toilet in the living room.

It's pretty easy. I always had really ugly handwriting, but then I just started really paying attention to how it looked. I worked with different styles of writing and seeing which letters look better in cursive or print. Whenever my handwriting looked bad, I would immediately erase and then rewrite so that it looked good enough.

Eventually my handwriting just naturally started looking nice.

I'm optimistic, and my energy levels fluctuate at times, from being low to extremely high (not bipolar though). I was teased in middle school a little, and a little in high school. I can concentrate easily, it is dependent as to whether I like what it is I'm attempting to concentrate on or not.
