get black or raw indigo jeans
those shoes are terrible sorry, get a pair of nikes :(
wear a basic, plain, well fitting t-shirt
lose the gilet

sorry to be harsh

>> No.6588350

button ups shouldn't be wrinkled, you're too big for it anyways
vests don't always look terrible, but there's a thick, thick line between a good looking vest and your average department store vest.
pre-faded jeans suck, but we can't get into that for now.
those shoes, I'm sorry man, idk wtf they are but they're whack.

Thanks, I was trying to look different but obviously failing, so so far:

1. ditch the shoes for normal nikes
2. wear black or indigi jeans
3. forget the best
4. get plain , not wrinkled shirt

oh btw, is fucking 10 degrees, so gotta put something warm on

This guy >>6588334 has pretty much said it all (though I think the button down is fine), I think the priority is the shoes and jeans. I really, really dislike those shoes.
Unfortunately you won't be able to get much for $200AUD. Where in aus are you?

It isn't and they don't.

Swap to more basic looking sneaker. White single colour Vans or something.

Just to clarify, I told him to get t-shirts because it's much easier to find t-shirts that fit well and it's such a short amount of time. He also probably doesn't have much of an eye for what fits well and what doesn't so it's not worth the gamble of an ill-fitting shirt.

If I were you OP, I'd spend £5 on a grey tee, £20 on some cheap black jeans and the rest on whatever Nikes you could afford. Dunno how far $200 gets you in Australia but I would get a pair of Roshes or Air Pegasus, or even a Blazer if you wanted to spend a bit less. I'm sorry to be unkind but those shoes are really horrendous OP, they look like something greasy Italian men wearing Big Pony polos would wear.

In general you should avoid any brands like Lacoste which rely on putting branding on shit-quality products and charging too much for ugly clothes. Same with Polo, Fred Perry etc. (although Fred Perry is slightly more wearable in some outfits)

>> No.6588413

OP you're ending up in the friendzone because u'r a fucking faggot, changing how you dress won't change that, but it will prolly give you a confidence boost, so go ahead.

Smh

This guy is mad, but right. You don't end up in the friendzone because you dress poorly; it's because you make the wrong choices.

Regarding your clothes, dressing nicely is definitely giving you a confidence boost, so listen to the other Anons ITT who have given good advice. But don't blame your clothes on why you end up in the comfort zone; the answer lies elsewhere.

I ain't mad brah, but it's the harsh truth OP should know about, i saged because i didn't contribute to the thread topic.

Goddammit no, somehow you managed to find even worse shoes. How that is even possible is beyond me.

no

Just lurk a bit and learn more. Don't try and get others to dress you.

You will have to buy new clothes.

No, it looks horrible

Sorry those shoes are really bad. The shirt isn't great either, do you not have any plain tees?

Why would you watch a film on a first date? You are supposed to talk and get to know eachother, not sit in the dark

>> No.6588511

IMO if you can't sit down with the chick for three hours and talk when getting to know each other it ain't worth shit

Holy fuck son. Sorry but I can't let this pass.

Plain sneakers
Tee or shirt
Put on a grey hoodie or something
Put a medium jacket over that
Dark jeans

Surely you can muster that? At least you'll look average. But afterwards good god step it up

sorry m8. I can't read.

If you're always stuck in the friendzone, it might have something to do with your personality. Dressing can only get you so far.
