It's decent. I think it's a little overstylized and when people wear All Saints well, I think it's when they pick the simpler pieces. The more details like this, the more they have to get JUST right, which they don't always do. That said, it's inoffensive enough and at the dark tonal thing might look better in person and when worn with clothing rather than just on its own for a product photo.

I particularly like the lacing for some reason, but you're definitely right about the seaming not seeming (oh god homonyms) right. Ever had experience with wearing in Trippens? A little bit, because apparently they use a dab of some kind of glue to keep it in place while they sew the tag into place. Then there are the stitch holes but those go away in a minute, you can just pull the weave back into place with your fingertips.
So yeah, there's a square spot there but it's not very noticeable to begin with and IMO it looks 10x better than a corporate logo. In my heart of hearts I kind of like it, although I can see why it might annoy some folks.

I prefer it to the palladium logo and I have the feeling it will really disappear over time.

Oh, me too, they're definitely doing great things and I really like the direction they're headed - Judging from their recent and upcoming releases, they seem to know this space look is coming around the pike as well. I really just want less branding on their products.

>> No.6578870

>>6578861

If you don't mind the slightly aggressive styling and branding, I guess they do a pretty good job. I like how some designers use cargo pockets as a way to play with silhouette and construction, so I like cargos from brands like Kris Van Assche, Rick Owens, etc. On the other hand, I like it when brands also smarten up traditional cargo styling with sleek cuts, so I like how things like Wings + Horns and Y-3 look, though I don't wear it myself.

Some of G-Star's cargos are nice, mos' def. You have to look through their catalog and ideally go see them in store. They do a series called the Aero, which has nicely slanted pockets and zipper details that have a very pilot/tech feel.

I'm personally matching these white palladiums with some cuffed Prps Mauretania pants. They're light, have frontal map pockets and a nice taper. Look and feel like old pilot's gear or something from a tiny forgotten army in Africa somewhere.
