I just came back from a very expensive stylist, one of the best ones in my country.
And I tell you what. It looks like complete shit in my opinion.

What are some hairstyles that it can be grown into? The sooner the better.

Think of it this way, if you try to bend 1 inch of a 10 inch piece of metal it isn't going to happen. But if you bend it from the middle (at 5 inches) it will bend. His hair stays down at long lengths like that because its thick. If he cut it short, it would stand up and be spiky.
