Depends on what you want it to do.

Polyester is excellent in almost every way - it's strong, durable, wicks sweat well, and dries quickly.

It is miserable in that once the sweat is wicked and dried, it *stays there*, and picks up a distinct sweat-on-poly funk. Great if you care to wash soon after every wear and don't need 12+ hour freshness, poor otherwise.

Blends with lower proportions can be okay.
