I own an E30 AND a year old <$20k economy car. I drive a 1984 Mercedes Benz 300 Turbo Diesel station wagon and literally every bitch I have had in it be mirin. It sounds fucking awesome and smells great because its diesel. It also gets decent gas mileage. I can even put the seats down in the back and fit like 4 people laying down easily. All in all its a bad ass car.

Kinda, yeah. She's skilled and educated and attractive but she's kind of still 15 mentally and expects a boyfriend to be more like a parent. I think a lot of the problem is that /fa/ steers people too far in the extreme fashion direction. Models are models because they're the only people on earth who look good in the shit they model, but way too many people try to emulate them and just end up looking like weirdoes. Looking sophisticated in the right way does wonders and is much easier to pull off for a much wider range of people but I only see a little bit of that kind of fashion on /fa/, so I think people who don't come anywhere but here for advice get the short end of the stick in that regard.

When I go to parties most people are about on the same natural attractiveness level as me, and there's a good mix of styles there. Some dudes who spent an hour on their hair and a week picking their outfit out of the NY Times Fashion Magazine, me in slightly ivy league, slightly pacific-northwesty "urban professional" style with decent jeans, casual button up shirts, and a nice blazer or sweater, and then the usual spectrum of nerds, metalheads, and other guys dress off the rack at Target or whatever place sells shirts that relate to their hobbies.

I'm usually the one a few hours into a party who's got five girls acting like they think I'm interesting while the nerd dudes talk D&D and the fashion guys share hairstyling tips, and I know it's got nothing to do with me being attractive or cool, it's just knowing how to present the right image for your situation. My big problem is that once I'm there I'm fucking clueless at how to seal the deal and never know if the girls are actually interested in me or just less uninterested than they are by the other guys there.

I've got my own share of problems TBH. I was super skinny when we met and didn't get fat until we'd been living together for years and I quit smoking and started stuffing my face to deal with the bullshit in my life. (But oddly enough I got way more popular when I gained weight, even with attractive girls.) I've got a really short temper and major self-confidence issues so it's not like I'm innocent in the whole disintegration of the relationship either. I was a much worse person five years ago than I am now though, and that's because I was always busting my ass to be a better person for her, while meanwhile I'd just been waiting and hoping she'd eventually "grow up" and I finally realized that we were almost 30 and it hadn't happened and probably wasn't gonna happen.

The Lusso is one of my favorite cars ever made but it's not /fa/. /fa/'s all about image and perception and making yourself look better to people, and a classic Ferrari is way too attention-grabbing on its own to just be an accessory. Cheap British/Italian '60s roadsters and US Muscle are the only classic cars that can really fill that "accessory" role properly, aside from maybe, MAYBE a DB4-6 or E-Type in a sedate color if you're the coolest motherfucker on earth and don't get overshadowed by it.

I'll take the Lusso, though, and fuck what it makes me look like. I'll have a silver one, or maybe dark blue.
