Basically fashion as an artform is subjective within itself. Asking someone if it is fashionable or not usually implies that you are talking about /trends in fashion/ and not fashion itself. Any garment could potentially work, but females have the benefit of wearing whatever the fuck they want in the context of getting a sexual partner. From an aesthetics viewpoint, most fashion now is so diverse that any gender can wear any 'gender specific' garment, and pull it off. Look at Rick skirts and leggings for example. Lots of women are wearing what is orthidox men's clothing, too. Generally it is just sweats, shoes, or glasses with them, though. Idk if this clears anything up or not, just my opinion.
