How do I take this sort of slutty-summer-core to the #nxtlvl? Preferably with some desert ninja and techwear vibes in the mix.

There are things one can do with scarves that work well during the summer Hermes has a little book about how to tie scarves, and I think it might be on their site. There are several ways to tie scarves into different kinds of shirts, which might work for layering or wearing with tiny shorts. It has the potential to be like, "I tied this scrap of fabric over my tits and am essentially naked, but tres fashion."

Yeah, but more as a means. I'm going for that languorous, sensual, slow-sexy, thrown together summer feeling, like in the OP. But more interesting and with some edge.

In the winter I wear layered up, techy streetwear, but summer flummoxes me. I like clothing that's pragmatic and simple to wear but provocative- both to the mind and the body.

I'm thinking something like these Nike x Undercover shorts and this mainline Undercover top. But I'm not really satisfied, and I wanted to see what /fa/ thinks of.

summer is great because i feel like i can get away with sheer everything
thats probably the most effective way of getting what youre going for

maybe linen shorts + sandals is techy? drapey sleeveless, lowcut shirts?

really? i don't think it seems that dressy at all
obviously its a step above cutoffs and tshirts but i think it can be done fairly casually

linen would probably feel less dressy but still better than typical summer alternatives
you could also try open knit sweaters and are semi-see through

Maybe you'll like Behati Prinsloo at Coachella. (The one without the flower crown.) Sheer and crocheted tops can also be good with tiny shorts. I don't think sheers are too dressy, but I might skew more dressy in general.
