I need some non-sneaker shoes, but I don't even know where to begin looking. Where can I browse for casual shoes around the $100 mark?

Recommendations?

"non-sneaker shoe" doesn't really narrow it down

>> No.6426693

Get some chukkas, they are relatively cheap

Also to get something decent you will have to spend more than $100

I don't really know what I want either, that's why I'd like some place where I can just sift through loads of shoes.

Not boots, though.

>>6426693
I was gonna say no because they'd look goofy with shorts, but it's already July so I should probably be thinking about the fall too

Specific recommendations?

For $100, you're looking at dept. store quality.

Brooks Bros. bucks are on sale.

Does the adage of buying shoes from shoemakers not apply to Brooks Bros? How's the quality on BB shoes?

>> No.6427049

Most of BB's shoes are made by Allen Edmonds, except for the Peal and Co. line.

The bucks are high quality and have good suede. They are not made by a specific shoemaker.

J.Crew also has some shoes in your price range.

Most shoes for $100 will not last long.

Willing to go a little higher, just needed to give a pricerange so I don't get like $600 suggestions

fucking boat shoes. i love my goddam boat shoes. can't find the exact style that I have so it'll suck when they finally bust, but I wear them more than any other shoe that I own. They have a light brown/tan upper with a darker brown for the eyelet tabs and the section that goes around the back. The work well with short, trousers, faded denim, unwashed denim. I also find them to be extremely comfortable and convenient.

I really don't like boat shoes
admittedly almost entirely because of the stigma

they probably contract professionals to make their shoes

that's a shame. as long as you don't dress like a frat boy you're not going to be conjuring up that image
