I Like having a huge hood to wear, so I can block out glare & distractions and focus on the machines.

Religion did a few huge hoods, My most extreme one is probably thom krom, tbh.
Had my eye on a rick cardigan for this purpose though.
I'd imagine most of his hoodies would work.

someone posted a japanese dj a while ago in a fa music thread. cant remember but he was wearing a bucket hat and just a tshirt. Probably one of the few times wearing a bucket hat won't look stupid.

I started my copping spree ethos when I was buying samplers and audio gear. Even if you can't afford a 1k cop, you can put 20-40 dollars in a jar each week or whenever until you have some guap floating around for those emergency must-haves. Takes a while, but it feels good. Save your spare change.

Currently unemployed, so 20-40 is usually my weekly budget. Hopefully I'll be able to snag a summer job and actually get some spending money(underage high school fuccboi, feels bad).

Yard sales, man. I've pulled in 400 in 8 hours no problem. I've seen my mom break a thousand, but she is a damned hard worker.

Of course, you need to have things to sell.

I have now unwearable clothing from when I had literally no idea what I was doing, and uh that's about it. These guys the next block over sell shit from storage auctions almost every day, and they must pull hella bills.

Yeah, you can make a lot of money by snapping up good finds from unsuspecting fools. Then you start visiting the antique dealers.

thrift and resell. I don't know if you live in an area with a lot of high wealth or not but if you are/are close to one, go to a goodwill, and buy up the jewelry if they have a large selection, or selectively look for brand names in the clothing racks. I've done this a couple times and gone to a consignment shop right after and made a pretty modest profit.
also, you could make things-I make simple bits and baubles as a hobby and sold them to old bluehairs until I got my current job, and I also do house-cleaning/gardening for my parents as well as a couple neighbors. other areas could be cat or dog sitting, dog walking, check craigslist for local odd jobs (just be wary!!). volunteering can often lead to job offers and actual positions, as well. if you know elderly people, see if they need home assistance. I'm sure there are opportunities where you are, anon, just ask around.

I live in Queens, NYC, so I'm sure there are plenty of odd jobs I can do and there are like 5 thrift shops and goodwills within two miles of me so there's always that, but I made a bet with family that I could land a full time within the next two weeks so I'm aiming for one of those rather than low commitment, one time deals here and there

Nope, never bothered. I'm just a nobody hobbyist anyway, even if I do turn out good work from time to time. I usually work alone and don't get to talk to people about it afterwards because I'm too busy moving my gear.
I'm sure I ended up on some yuppie's blog last summer, though. I ran a single sampler and a speaker off a big battery in soho a few times. Of course, if you play an instrument anywhere you'll get people with camera phones, but using machines gives it a twist and seemed to draw a lot of attention.
A few artsy parties, too, but it's not like anyone knew who I was or anything. The exes probably have the best pictures, now that I think about it.
