/fa/ I want to start running

what are some effay shoes (that are also functional for running) and some effay running gear (shirts, jackets, pants, whatever)?

Nike roshe+skirted leggings+arc'teryx veilance hoodie

I've read that Roshes are comfy and look great (and they do) but they're not that great for running. Are they any good?

>Nike roshe
NOT a running shoe. i know it's called roshe run, but the designer has said they are not for running.

get some free's op

>> No.6372575

Any variant of Nike freerun. I would reccomend powerlines II.

>> No.6372580

don't get running shoes cause they look good, get running shoes that meet your actual running needs. go to a proper store and get fitted.

and just get some 1" - 2" split shorts and some singlets and you are set

>> No.6372594

don't get roshes they're fucked up for running, get some free runs instead

I have no idea. I just wanted to make the thread going, I think the flyknits would be better tho

>> No.6372612

gyakusou's sizing is weird. size up if ou're not a petite japanese man.

So no Roshes
>>6372575
>>6372594
I'll check out some Freeruns. What's the difference between the different models?
>>6372603
I love the way Flyknits look, so I'll try those on too.
>>6372580
What brands would you recommend for shorts and singlets?
>>6372612
I can't find any of the Nike and Gyakusou collab anywhere so I don't think I'll get those anyway. Thanks for the tip though!

>> No.6372643

>>6372612
What's the appeal of gyakusou? Except overpriced items, 90s colors ands weird hats...

>don't get running shoes cause they look good
are you for real?

do you also think you don't need boat shoes if you aren't on a boat?

>> No.6372654

Go to your local running store, faggot. They will be more helpful and will get you a shoe that won't injure you.

>> No.6372671

>>6372649
I don't get what point you're trying to make about boat shoes but a person should not get a pair of running shoes (for running in) simply because they look how they look.

>>6372628
I dunno, most running gear i get (aside from watches and shoes) is usually on sale so i dont really care about what brands... most is probably NB, asics, brooks, nike stuff and I do like eastbay halfsplit shorts which are pretty cheap

3.0 is the most barefoot you'll feel and the higher number is the most support.

>> No.6372689

>>6372654
I'll see if there's one near me
>>6372671
Those look pretty good, I might cop them
>>6372673
I dunno if I want lower or higher support so I'll go find a running store to see what feels better. Thanks for the info though

>> No.6372695

So what's the difference between the free runs and the trainers? (And which is more effay?)
Can't decide between the reg 5.0 and the trainer 5.0

>> No.6372774

If you are going to get running shoes that look good, and not ugly technical shoes, at least opt for the Flyknit Lunar and not the Flyknit Trainer. The sole on the lunar makes such a difference

>> No.6372783

>tfw I didn't cop the nike x gyakousu EVA 01 coloured running shoes when they were on sale
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck me

>> No.6372792

>>6372695
Trainers are for general gym things. The soles tend to be harder, and although they are not bad for running, because they are more generalized for a wider set of activities, they don't perform very well for long distance running.

Runners can be either for long distance, or for speed. They should have a soft heel, but hard enough to provide a "bounce" for every step. You can tell if a shoe is good for running by looking at the sole.

This is how I started out nearly a year ago. I wanted stylish running shoes too. I bought a shitty nike roshe canvas and realized how much of a dork I looked, I couldn't pull it off. How times have changed, I have transitioned into a completely new style!

The moral of my short story is, save your money original poster, save your money and you will be happy when you find the style you like the best!

Your fashion life has only begun! my friend.!!
