As someone who's been around a decent amount, there is a lot more diversity of fashion being posted now. I think that's a good thing, even though a lot of it is gothninja and, I agree with OP, it looks silly whenever it's off the runway. The RO/gothninja fad does have a tendency to crowd out other fashion at the moment, but if you're looking for "dadcore" threads, you can still find them here, you might just have to go past page 1.

OP is right, this board used to be an exception to the small minded autist-driven anime board that is 4chan, where-as now it only operates as an extension of those ideals.

The problem is that Goof-ninja eventuated as a troll, and perpetually grew since someone somehow thought that concept runway "art-fashion" easily translated to what would be appropriate for everyday wear. The moment you're wearing brogues and not CP's or Rick, regardless of fit, the criticism far outweighs the actual feedback.

/fa/ needs to step back and realise what it used to, in that fit is everything and an outfit being fashionable is not determined by whether your shirt is asymmetrical or not.

I don't see this happening much; more than anything, I just see people buying cheap brogues and people calling them out on it or people buying a bunch of tailored clothing when none of it fits. I think the shift towards drapey styles and whatnot might have been caused by the fact that it's an easier fit. It's harder to make look good, but a slouchy tee is infinitely easier for most people to figure out in terms of sizing, fit, and styling than a end-on-end shirt in a precise scale of plaid with a trouser that's been hemmed perfectly.
