See if you can get a lightly used version of the Context Clothing Alden Roy Boot. Just be weary that the sizing is Trubalance Last which is half a size larger than typical US sizes. If you really want a brand new pair, they run a little higher than the Wolverine, and you have to 'pre-order' them for November.

Aside from the shitty crepe sole, they far better than the 1000 Mile. They're also a little clunkier, but I love that.

I live in the hi desert cali and I work as a contractor sometimes, and go to college. I need rugged shoes that last me a while and can take a beating. I don't hike though just need rugged work ware.
